Snowflake Walk

Join us for our annual Snowflake Walk on Sunday, December 15, between 5 and 8 pm. This is a magical time at the Zoo, as the sun goes down and the lights are set ablaze on the holiday trees.

Carolers will serenade you with holiday favourites and Santa will pay a special visit to the kids. There will even be a sweet treat for all visitors.

And for those looking for last minute gift ideas, Friends of High Park Zoo will have Zoo animal stuffies, digital adventure games, wool shorn right from our llamas, a collectible holiday ornament, and more.

Our fourth annual Friends of High Park Zoo Snowflake Walk is brought to you with help from our presenting sponsor, Re/Max Professionals Sidorova Inwood Realty, inc, along with Bloor West Village BIA, Babiak Team Real Estate Brokerage Ltd., and Dicemark Capital, with in-kind donations from Canadian Tire, Maker Bean Cafe, Neighbur.net and Shout Sister! Choir. With their support, the price is still only $10 per family.

Come Out to Feed the Llamas

It’s been feeding frenzy at the llama pen in High Park Zoo. Families from around the GTA and even Montreal were on hand recently to get close to and hand feed the llamas. The Zoo is open every day, year round. The cost is just $2 to feed the llamas on weekends and holidays between noon and 2 pm. There’s colouring and a touch table and a few Zoo goodies are available too! The llama feeding is generously funded by Friends of High Park Zoo.

Llama yarn sale

Wool made from the fleece of the High Park Zoo llamas will be going on sale. We've got a few dozen skeins of llama wool, mixed with merino or sheep's wool. Each skein is 100 grams (or 175 yards) of three-ply worsted weight, which is enough to knit a pair of mittens, a hat or a toasty scarf. Skeins reflect the colour of the llama in shades of tan, brown and grey from Jet, Stardust, Honey, Limia, Arianna, Jazz, Tango, Chiquita and Luna.

The price per skein is $50 for 3 ply worsted weight 100 grams, 175 yards.  Funds will go toward FHPZ's Master Plan to make necessary improvements to our 130-year old Zoo.

To purchase llama wool please contact events@highparkzoo.ca.
